Reims coach Will Still dismissed reports on Thursday linking him with a move to Sunderland in the Championship, asserting that he had not met with the club's bosses.
The French newspaper L'Equipe had earlier claimed that Still, a 31-year-old Belgian of British nationality, had travelled to England to discuss the possibility of taking over from the sacked Tony Mowbray.
Addressing the rumours, Still explained, "On Monday, I went to London to see my girlfriend, who is English. I've become a faithful client of Eurostar because I've been going back and forth every week for three or four months to see my girlfriend. Eurostar, if you're listening, I would like a loyalty discount."
Still, who gained prominence after guiding Reims to 19 league games without defeat last season, currently has his team in eighth place in the Ligue 1 table before their upcoming match against Lens on Saturday.
"If I wanted to leave to work in England, I would have left much earlier than now, when these stories have been published," Still stated, addressing the speculation. "I can't deny that there's interest in me. I can confirm it, like there had been in the summer and in recent weeks. My agent spoke to me because clubs called, but for now, I'm the coach of Reims," he added.
