Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that he was the premier in 1999 in the morning but suddenly declared the "hijacker" in the night.
Addressing the parliamentary board meeting, the former prime minister rued: "Those who were following the constitution and law were debarred from politics. When action was taken against those who violated the constitution, then we were attacked."
The PML-N supremo said: "We had to face detention and exile for more years than being in power. If the journey of development had continued, then the country might have progressed far."
"I had heard a lot about the Thar coal, but nobody had worked on it. We had produced the electricity from the Thar coal," he said.
"We bring peace to Karachi, but vote was casted for somebody else; it is not a good thing. We had constructed the Lowari tunnel for the people of Chitral, but they cast their vote for the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI)," Nawaz Sharif maintained.
