Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat was released from Kot Lakhpat jail on Monday.
Speaking to media on this occasion in Lahore, Marwat said, “We will contest the general elections with verve.”
The PTI leader had claimed that he was also subjected to “misbehaviour” in jail.

Earlier, it was reported that the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered the release of PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat.

The court ordered the deputy commissioner to release the lawyer after the submission of a surety bond.
Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry had heard an application challenging the detention orders of Sher Afzal Marwat.
The court had sought responses from all the parties.
The petition had argued that Marwat was detained illegally.
