Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif slammed on Friday the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the former prime minister said: “The UN Security Council has failed the people of Palestine so far, not once but many times.”.
“It is deeply perplexing how the UNSC member countries have shown a stark inability to resolve the differences over the text of the draft resolution, causing inordinate delay in the voting,” he said.
Shehbaz said, “This has let Israel continue with its genocidal campaign against the Palestinians. While the world spoke with one voice against Israeli brutality in the two landmark General Assembly resolutions, the UNSC has been stymied by paralysis.”

– Fazlur Rehman lashes out at UNSC –
Rehman lashed out at the UNSC and other human rights’ organisations on Sunday.
Addressing the public gathering in Mardan, Rehman said, “Where is the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to bring the culprits to justice?
“The United States and the rest of the West prioritise the politics of power, not democracy. Is the killing of innocent people not a criminal war? The human rights organisations are also remaining silent over the situation in Gaza,” Rehman said.
Highlighting the country’s situation, Rehman said, “Our country’s economy is at stake."Our independence is also at stake.”
He made it clear that the JUI-F does not believe in staging the politics of "violence."
