Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday asked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to come and contest elections in Lahore.
During an informal talk with media persons in Karachi, the former National Assembly speaker said, “We will welcome Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in Lahore.
"It is part of the election campaign to come up with every kind of narrative," he said.
– Sardar Ayaz Sadiq awarded PML-N’s ticket from NA-121 Lahore –
PML-N awarded the party ticket to former National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq from NA-121 Lahore ahead of the upcoming general elections in the country.
The PML-N leader had also confirmed the news of getting a ticket from NA-121. On this occasion, Sadiq said, “Some of the friends were saying that I would not get a ticket. The party's top brass had assured me that I would contest the election from NA-121.”
For the sake of getting the ticket, Ayaz Sadiq and another PML-N senior leader, Sheikh Rohail Asghar, were locking horns.
Asghar had also called on the PML-N bigwigs in a bid to get the party ticket.
