Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday asserted that his party was about to become the “strong political force” in the country’s political landscape.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, the former prime minister expressed his resolve to take “everybody on board” in a bid to uplift the country. “It is fundamental to put out all-out efforts for the sake of the country’s prosperity,” he said.
Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the newcomers to the party. “I want to welcome those who have joined the PML-N. The friends from Sindh had joined the PML-N in large numbers".
Speaking about the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) ruling, Shehbaz Sharif said: “The PHC’s ruling is tantamount to attacking the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). How can the PHC announce a verdict on every matter in the country?"

Those candidates who have a family connection with the judge are contesting the elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
– Shehbaz Sharif sees country on cusp of economic recovery –
Few days back, Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the country was on the cusp of economic recovery following the tough decisions taken during the coalition government’s tenure.
Shehbaz held separate meetings with the PML-N leaders in Lahore. Prominent among those who met the former prime minister were Rana Iqbal, Mian Saqib Khurshid, Javed Ali Shah, Munawar Khetran, Ayesha Arshad Lodhi, Naveed Aslam Lodhi, Sheikh Fayyaz, Abid Raza Kotla, Syed Mobeen, Qutub Koreja, Makhdoom Mubeen, and Mehmood Alam.
On this occasion, matters in line with the party and upcoming generals were underscored. The PML-N leaders also extend their felicitations to Shehbaz Sharif on the acquittal of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
