Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman said on Monday that he has a goal to win the forthcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
Expressing his thoughts in Lahore, Zaman talked about his batting position. "I always batted as an opener. But Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are doing well together, so I am to demote myself."
He lavished his praise on Pakistan T20I skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi. "Shaheen Afridi has proved himself to be the standout captain in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
"Babar Azam had changed the team's habit by notching a century in every second match," he said. Zaman also expressed optimism that Babar Azam would regain his form and rhythm.
Speaking about his experience working with Pakistan team high-performance coach Yasir Arafat, "Working with Yasir Arafat is a matter of great delight, as he is rectifying the mistakes."
