Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed ruled out the forthcoming T20I series against New Zealand on Tuesday due to a knee injury.
Ahmed had complained about having pain in the knees, due to which he was compelled to not play the Test series against Australia.
He is expected to return to the country soon.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had said that Ahmed’s rehab would start at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The first T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place on January 12 in Auckland.

Pakistan T20I team have expected to leave for New Zealand via Dubai tomorrow (January 3) night.
The players had attended the last day of training session under the supervision of high-performance coach Yasir Arafat at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain also took part in the training session.
