Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has been arrested in the case of May 9 attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Pakistan Army also.
Imran Khan is incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on judicial remand in two references of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), while his release orders in the cipher case were issued on Monday.
The authorities have officially arrested Imran Khan in the GHQ attack case.
According to sources, Imran Khan has been named as accused in all the cases related to the May 9, 2023 incidents.
On the other hand, anti-terrorism court judge Malik Ijaz Asif reached Adiala Jail to hear the GHQ gate attack case against Imran Khan. The hearing into another case against him, registered at Waris Khan police station, linked to the May 9 incidents will also be held in jail.
The investigation officers of the May 9 incident cases also reached Adiala Jail. The officers will reportedly apprise the judge of the investigation report and Imran Khan’s role in the cases.
Indictment in Toshakhana case
Meanwhile, Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were indicted in the Toshakhana case.
The indictment hearing was conducted by accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir in Adiala Jail on Tuesday. Both suspects pleaded not guilty, and the court summoned 12 witnesses from the defence side.
Moreover, the suspects will be indicted in the 190 million pounds Al-Qadir Trust case on the next hearing.
