The candidate backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Iqbal Shah, on Wednesday decided against contesting the elections from NA-155 (Lodhran).
Shah’s son, Aamir Iqbal Shah, made the announcement of his father’s decision on elections. “My father will not contest the elections for the national seat.”
“I will contest the elections from PP-228,” Aamir Iqbal Shah said.
– Tussle in PTI intensifies –
Earlier, it was reported that the the tussle in the PTI intensified as Rauf Hassan and Hamid Khan locked horns with Sher Afzal Marwat.
The differences between the PTI bigwigs had erupted. Rauf Hassan and Hamid Khan said: "Sher Afzal Marwat has no connection with the PTI."
Marwat also made allegations as a response to both leaders on X (formerly Twitter).
Following the jibe from the PTI leaders, Marwat left the election campaign in Sindh uncompleted.
