Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that the friendly countries will not help Pakistan if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder returns to power.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Rehman said, "Such an election is not tolerable, and the people are not satisfied''. He reiterated the demand for holding transparent polls.
He praised former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, saying, ‘’Benazir Bhutto had struggled a lot. On his return, she had talked to me twice on the phone and discussed the country’s situation, and we had agreed on the issues''.
– Balloon without air –
Few weeks ago, Rehman fired a salvo at the PTI, saying the party is "balloon without air."
Expressing his thoughts in Islamabad, Rehman said: "The JUI-F is ready to go for the elections. There is a dire need to have such an environment, which is necessary to hold elections in a prominent way."
Underscoring the importance of the masses, Rehman stated, "The premier will be elected at the masses' will. The people will take the decision of the country's fate."
