Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam had scored an unbeaten 49-ball 56 to power Rangpur Riders to a thrilling four-wicket victory against Sylhet Strikers in the latest edition of the Bangladesh Premier League in Mirpur on Tuesday.
Chasing a target of 121, the Riders were off to a terrible start, losing six wickets for just 39. But Babar stayed ‘’calm and cool’’ on the wicket and went on to rack up an unconquered 68-ball 86-run partnership with Azmatullah Omarzai to sweep past the Strikers.
In his 56-run knock, Babar Azam had struck six boundaries.
