Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has announced to hold an election rally in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh for the first time since 2007—in which former prime minister and daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated when she was coming after the successful rally.
Bilawal Bhutto will address the rally at Liaquat Bagh on January 28.
Pakistan People's Party Secretary General Nayyer Hussain Bukhari, while holding a press conference at Rawalpindi Press Club, said that Benazir Bhutto held the last election rally in Liaquat Bagh in 2007.
Now PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will hold a rally on January 28. He said that it was the PPP that had requested to conduct the election by on time and vowed to form the next government with the next prime minister from the PPP.
“A simple majority of no party is visible,” he predicted.
After the elections, there will be a large number of independents will come forward, he commented.
“Bilawal has already invited all such candidates to join the PPP,” he said.
For the first time since 2007, the People's Party announced to hold an election rally in Liaquat Bagh.
