Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that the country needs a system based on the Quran and Sunnah.
Addressing the public gathering in Muzaffargarh, the JUI-F chief said, ‘’Sadly, we are not practicing our religious traditions. We are dragging backward.’’
‘’Now everyone is making promises. Such politicians do not even know what politics is all about,’’ he said.
Stressing the need for a robust economy, Rehman says, ‘’The country’s economy can only be fostered with the existence of peace in the country.’’

– Friendly countries will not help Pakistan if PTI –
Few days back, Rehman said that the friendly countries will not help Pakistan if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder returns to power.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Rehman said, "Such an election is not tolerable, and the people are not satisfied''. He reiterated the demand for holding transparent polls.
He praised former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, saying, ‘’Benazir Bhutto had struggled a lot. On his return, she had talked to me twice on the phone and discussed the country’s situation, and we had agreed on the issues''.
