Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Saturday resolved to end unemployment in the country.
Addressing the public gathering in Gujranwala, he took an indirect jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, "By using foul language on social media, they [PTI] claim that the youth is standing with them."
He said, "The youth who know to respect their parents and elders are standing with me [Nawaz Sharif].''
Citing the Transparency International report, Nawaz Sharif said: "The Transparency International report said that during the PML-N's government, corruption was prevailing less in the country."
Nawaz Sharif said: "The prices of basic necessities like sugar, flour, ghee, power, and petrol were cheap during my tenure. Even we ended the power outage, and poverty was also seen to decline."
He added, "The greenback was getting drubbed at the hands of Ruppee during our tenure. We had even bid farewell to the International Monetary Fund (IMF)."
Lavishing his praise on PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz said: "Shehbaz Sharif had installed the power factories. It was Shehbaz Sharif who was constructing the motorways."
"If currently the pace of development remained the same way that it was in our tenure, then there would be no need to approach the IMF contemporary," Nawaz Sharif said.
