Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the previous government had ended the projects, which were initiated by three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing the public gathering in Gujranwala, Shehbaz said: "During the tenure of Nawaz Sharif, corruption witnessed a decline. Nawaz Sharif had established the medical college in Gujranwala."
"Nawaz Sharif had given laptops to the children of Gujranwala," he said.
Taking an indirect jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said, "In 2018, when Nawaz Sharif's government was toppled, the next government had declared everybody as thieves."
He also took an indirect swipe at the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), saying, "They are talking about debate, but I would rather ask them [PPP] to do a comparison with us."
Recalling the tenure of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Shehbaz said, "The risk of country default was averted during the 16-month period."
