Former cricketer Bazid Khan on Saturday deemed fast bowler Ubaid Shah "tough character" for powering the Pakistan team to the U19 World Cup semi-final.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the renowned commentator lavished his praise on Shah, saying, "Bowled through pain, came back after dropping a catch, and got the most important wicket.".
He acknowledged the fringe player, saying, "He [Ubaid Shah] is definitely one to watch."

Khan declared the match against Bangladesh as a nerve-racking contest.

Separately, Ahmed Shehzad felicitated the Pakistan U19 team on qualifying for the U19 World Cup semi-finals in Benoni.

He acknowledged Ubaid Shah's bowling brilliance, saying, "Excellent bowling by Ubaid Shah against Bangladesh once again."
Ahead of the high-octane clash against Australia in the semi-final, Shehzad said, "Best wishes for the crucial contest against Australia! Pakistan Zindabad"
