Security forces successfully neutralised at least nine terrorists in two distinct operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on Saturday, according to a statement issued by the military’s media affairs wing.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the first operation, an intelligence-based mission in Tank District, resulted in the elimination of terrorists Rehmat Ullah, also known as Badar Mansur, and Amjad, alias Babri.
In a separate operation conducted in South Waziristan District, after an intense fire exchange, seven terrorists were killed.
The security forces also seized a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the terrorists. These individuals had been actively engaged in various terrorist activities, targeting both security forces and committing extortion and acts of violence against innocent civilians in the region.
Tragically, amidst the operation, Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam, a courageous native of district Haripur, aged 29, valiantly fought and made the ultimate sacrifice by embracing Shahadat.
The security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their commitment to eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country. The sacrifices made by our brave soldiers, such as Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam, serve to fortify our determination to ensure a secure and stable future.
