Islamabad United all-rounder Agha Salman acknowledged the leadership of Shadab Khan after the visitors outplayed Lahore Qalandars in the first match of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Saturday.
Addressing the press conference in Lahore, Agha said: "The first match of the tournament is always crucial. We had the target of winning this match. It was part of the plan, along with Shadab Khan, to smash a boundary in every over."
"Shadab Khan has led from the front, as he is the best of all-rounders in Pakistan," he said.
Salman, who had played a crucial role in the United's victory along with the United captain, said, "I had always had a wish to represent Islamabad United."
Speaking about the Qalandars' bowling attack, he said: "The Qalandars' bowling attack is quite brilliant, but they could not perform well today.".
