Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz and Australia's High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins on Wednesday resolved to empower women.
Hawkins called on Maryam in Lahore. On this occasion, both Hawkins and Maryam discussed matters pertaining to climate change.
During the meeting, it was agreed to focus on the agricultural sector in a bid to foster the country's economy.
Both Maryam and Hawkins stressed the need for bilateral efforts to enhance the capabilities in the agricultural sector.
It was resolved to ensure the participation and leadership of women in all walks of life.
Maryam had expressed her gratitude to Hawkins for the latter's visit.

Maryam Nawaz said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will spearhead the government.
Addressing the parliamentary party meeting of the PML-N Punjab in Lahore, Maryam said: "The PML-N had bagged a two-third majority in Punjab."
She acknowledged the youth, saying, "Large numbers of youth have been elected in the recently held elections. I would like to felicitate all the lawmakers for being elected."
Speaking about the Punjab political landscape during the recently held elections, Maryam said: "There was a tough competition in Punjab in the elections."
"We will have to make new records by serving the masses by becoming one team. I will be honoured by becoming the first female chief minister of the country," she added.
Recalling the previous tenure of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Maryam said: "It was in 2015-16 that Nawaz Sharif rolled out the health card for the very first time."
She vowed to launch the air ambulance for the first time in Punjab. "We will establish additional units in every city for the treatment of kidney, heart, cancer, and liver," the PML-N stalwart added.
In connection with Ramazan, Maryam stated: "We will put in all-out efforts to provide relief packages to about seven million houses during the month of Ramazan."
