Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday demanded a level playing field in politics from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he welcomed PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s return to the political scene emphasizing that the former prime minister should face legal cases like other politicians.
The PPP chairman further said that neither he nor the establishment have the power to decide when the election will be held, but the power to hold the election lies with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Bilawal went on to say that his party’s stance is very clear that the election schedule should be released.
He claimed that as inflation has already reached historic highs, individuals are struggling to cover costs like as power bills, parents’ treatment costs, and tuition for their children, adding that elections will provide people the chance to pick the representatives who will represent them in Islamabad and work to find solutions to their difficulties as they struggle through this difficult time.
The world community has to acknowledge that India has turned into a rogue state that has perpetrated terrorism throughout the country, not only in Kashmir, Mr Bhutto continued, calling it a great disgrace for India to accused of killing a Canadian citizen. Instead, we have discovered their spies engaged in terrorism within our own nation.
