The investigation into the murder case of Ameer Balaj Tipu has taken a crucial step forward with the detention of two more people by the CIA police, including a person identified as Malik Sohail as well as Balaj's close friend Ahsan Shah.
These arrests shed light on previously undisclosed connections and arrangements related to the case.
According to sources within the CIA police, Malik Sohail played a pivotal role in facilitating meetings between another suspect, Ahsan Shah, with the main suspect in the case, Teefi Butt. Allegedly, Ahsan Shah had allegedly provided information about Ameer Balaj's whereabouts to Teefi Butt, including the fact that he was attending a wedding.

Sources in the CIA police claimed that Ahsan Shah had allegedly met Teefi Butt seven to eight times while travelling in a different car each time. He had also informed Butt about Ameer's plan to go to the wedding, where he was eventually shot dead. He also told Teefi that Ameer's gunmen were not carrying rifles, the sources claimed.
An investigation is being carried out by the CIA Iqbal Town police, led by SP (Organised Crime) Furqan Bilal.
Earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that the CIA police had taken Ameer Balaj's close friend Ahsan Shah into custody for allegedly providing information about his whereabouts to the main suspects in the case.

Further revelations from the police sources indicate that Shah had purportedly received a substantial sum of Rs5 million for performing a recce on his friend, Ameer Balaj. The sources said that Shah was not in the country at the time of Ameer's murder, and provided information about him to the suspects from Saudi Arabia.
Shah had allegedly informed Teefi Butt about the wedding Ameer Balaj was supposed to attend. He was arrested by the police from his residence.
