Method actor and director Aamir Khan has confirmed that Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol will star in their upcoming film Lahore 1947.
Karan will be seen essaying the character of Javed in the film. Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta will be seen in leading roles in the film.
The period film is being produced by Aamir Khan Productions and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
As per Indian media reports, Lahore 1947 will also feature Shabana Azmi, Abhimanyu Singh, and Ali Fazal. Abhimanyu will play the antagonist opposite Sunny.
Preity Zinta already gave a masterpiece Veer Zaara alongside Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan.
Veer-Zaara was a 2004 Indian Hindi-language epic romantic drama film directed and produced by Yash Chopra, from a screenplay written by his son Aditya Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta as the eponymous star-crossed lovers: Veer Pratap Singh (Khan) is an Indian Air Force officer, and Zaara Hayaat Khan (Zinta) is the daughter of a Pakistani politician.
Veer is imprisoned on false charges, and 22 years later, a young Pakistani lawyer, named Saamiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), fights his case.
