Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry met with his family members in Adiala jail on Friday.
According to details, among those who met Chaudhry in jail were his wife , mother, uncle, and brother.
Chaudhry had also met with his children.
Following their meeting with Chaudhry in the conference room, the family returned from jail.
Earlier in January, it was reported that Chaudhry had announced a boycott of elections. He had also informed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) through a written letter.
Fawad Chaudhry wrote in his letter to the election commission that if there is no option for voting in the elections, there is no meaning to such an exercise.
“I was arrested to force me to withdraw from the election. Our workers were intimidated, threatened, and arrested. Our nomination papers were unjustifiably rejected,” Fawad wrote in the letter.
