Four Pakistani nationals died in a boat accident off the coast of Libya.
The Foreign Office identified the deceased and confirmed the start of an investigation.
A Foreign Office spokesperson said that eleven migrants died in a boat accident off the eastern coast of Libya. Four Pakistani nationals were among those killed in the accident. The boat, carrying foreign nationals, capsized off the coast of Harwa.
Two bodies remain unidentified. Among the identified Pakistanis, Zahid Mahmood, the son of Liaquat Ali, is from Gujranwala, while Sameer Ali, Syed Ali Hussain, and Asif Ali are from Mandi Bahauddin.
According to the spokesperson, the Pakistani Embassy in Tripoli is gathering more information. The Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management Unit has also been activated to monitor the situation.
