The sighting of the Shawwal moon has been confirmed in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking the celebration of Eid al-Fitr there tomorrow.
However, in India and Bangladesh, the Shawwal moon has not been sighted, so Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on April 11th.
According to Bangladeshi media, the Central Moon Sighting Committee has not received any reports of moon sightings in the country.

Furthermore, the Shawwal moon has also been sighted in Qatar and Australia, where Eidul Fitr will be observed on Wednesday, April 10.

Separately, Indian and Bangladeshi Muslims will mark the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr on April 11 (Thursday) after the moon sighting committee in Lucknow confirmed the non-sighting of the moon on Tuesday.
Prominent religious leader Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahli announced the decision alongside the Markazi Chand Committee Eidgah Lucknow.
Imams from Delhi's Jama Masjid and Fatehpuri mosque also corroborated the decision, as reported by Indian news agency.
According to the committee's notification, "The new moon of Shawwal has not occurred on 9th April 2024.
Therefore, tomorrow is the 30th Ramadan and Eidul-Fitr will be on 11 April 2024.
