Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim took the oath as the 28th chief justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Saturday.
According to details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali administered an oath to Justice Ibrahim. The law secretary had read the presidential notification in line with the appointment of Justice Ibrahim as the PHC CJ.
Prominent among those who attended the oath-taking ceremony of the PHC CJ were Justice Musarrat Hilali, PHC judges, chief secretary, Inspector General of Police (IGP), and other administrative officers from various departments.

Born on December 2, 1969, in Peshawar, Justice Ibrahim has a distinguished legal career. He earned his law degree from Peshawar's Khyber Law College in 1992 and acquired licenses to practice law from the high court in 1995 and the Supreme Court in 2008.
Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities, including as assistant and additional advocate general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
