The Pakistani squad for the upcoming ICC World Cup has reportedly changed its travel plans to India, as the host country has yet to issue visas for it.
Originally, the Pakistan team was set to depart for Dubai early next week before proceeding to India for their first warm-up match against New Zealand scheduled for September 29.
However, due to the unissued visas, the team is now planning to fly to Dubai and then head to Hyderabad, India, from next Wednesday.
The ICC World Cup is slated to commence on October 5, and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already confirmed the team management for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, taking place in India in October and November.
Pakistan's game in the tournament begins on October 6 with a match against the Netherlands in Hyderabad.
The team's player support personnel includes Rehanul Haq as the team manager, Mickey Arthur the director of the Pakistan men's team, Grant Bradburn head coach, Andrew Puttick batting coach, Morne Morkel bowling coach, Aftab Khan fielding coach, Abdul Rehman assistant coach, Dr Sohail Saleem team doctor, Drikus Saaiman the strength and conditioning coach, Cliffe Deacon physiotherapist, Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi media and digital content manager, Usman Anwari security manager, Maqbool Ahmad Babri psychologist, Talha Ejaz analyst and Malang Ali as a masseur.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to depart for Hyderabad early on Wednesday, and they have warm-up matches against New Zealand on September 29 and Australia on October 3.
