Interior Ministry on Monday removed the names of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Pakistan (PTI) era cabinet members from Exit Control List (ECL).
SAMAA TV quoting sources said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur's name was also withdrawn from ECL.
Names of Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Murad Saeed, Pervez Khattak and Shafaqat Mehmood were also removed from ECL.
Sources familiar with the development claimed names of Farogh Naseem, Shireen Mazari, Ijaz Shah, Ali Zaidi, Khusrubakhtiar and Azam Swati included which were removed from the ECL.
PTI stalwarts including Asad Umar, Umar Ayub, Mehboob Sultan, and Fawad Chowdhury names were also removed from ECL.
It is reported names of former federal cabinet members were included in ECL on the recommendation of NAB.
Sources claimed that the names of founders of PTI, Bashira Bibi, Farah Gogi, and Zulfi Bukhari will remain on ECL.
The Federal Cabinet had approved the withdrawal of names of PTI cabinet members from ECL two weeks ago.
