At least four terrorists were gunned down in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district conducted by the security force on reported presence of terrorists on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the operation, a firefight ensued between security personnel and terrorists, resulting in the deaths of four terrorists, including Qari Wajid (also known as Qari Baryal) and Razziq, who were identified as terrorist ringleaders.
The operation also led to the discovery and dismantling of a terrorist hideout, and a huge cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized.
Local residents expressed appreciation for the operation, and security forces are continuing to conduct a thorough sanitization operation to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area, as part of their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the country.
