– Barrister Gohar calls for returning 'bat' symbol to PTI –
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stressed on Tuesday the need for returning the "bat" symbol to his party.
The hearing of the PTI intraparty election was held in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). Subsequently, speaking to the media in Islamabad, Khan said: "We emerged victorious in the elections due to the masses' support despite having symbols like tong and eggplant. We held transparent intraparty polls."
"No objections have been raised to our intraparty elections that were held on March 3," he said.
"We have to face injustice as our bat symbol has been snatched and our leader has been kept in detention," he added.
He stressed the need to steer the country towards prosperity. "There is a need to lower the political temperature in the country," Khan said.
Khan said, "14 of the planted people were raising reservations about our intraparty elections. None of the 14 people had come into the spotlight in the elections."
"There are 175 political parties in the country, and none of them have conducted transparent intraparty elections like the PTI," Khan said.
