Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Musadik Malik said on Saturday that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will become the party's president again.
Expressing his thoughts, Malik recalled the ouster of Nawaz Sharif, saying, "Nawaz Sharif was disqualified for not taking his salary from his son. With the blessings of the Higher Power, Nawaz Sharif is once again coming to become the party's president."
The election will be held in the general council. Shehbaz Sharif has been made acting president in line with the procedure.
– PTI has track record of spreading 'anarchy': Saad Rafique –
Earlier, PML-N senior leader Saad Rafique said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has a track record of spreading "anarchy" in the country.
Expressing his thoughts, Rafique said: "Whenever, the country starts to run, it [PTI] not allow the country to run. It is not appropriate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to use foul language against the centre."
"It seems as if he [Gandapur] will not manage to handle the affairs in KP; that is why he wants to create an untoward situation," Rafique said.
Speaking about the election of the PML-N president, Rafique said: "Shehbaz Sharif's resignation as the party's president was accepted with a heavy heart."
"Shehbaz Sharif's services as the party president were commended," he added.
