The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) predicted on Saturday the prevailing heatwave in Punjab till May 27.
According to details, the maximum temperature in the province is expected to be 48 degrees Celsius.
The PDMA highlighted the possibility of a severe heatwave in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan.
Moreover, the PDMA director general said that heatwave counters had been established at all the hospitals to avert heatstroke.
"The steps are being taken to ensure the provision of clean water in Cholistan."
The PDMA had been directed to assure the availability of all the concerned medicines.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Dadu reached 47 degrees Celsius. The district administration had established the heatstroke camp.
The heatwave stroke had also been activated at Dadu Civil Hospital.
Moreover, the citizens were facing hardship due to the power outage lasting up to 14 hours.
On the other side, the temperature in Sukkur reached 49 degrees Celsius.
