Amid escalating tensions in Bangladesh, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has extended an invitation to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to send their national Test team to Pakistan ahead of schedule.
The PCB’s offer aims to ensure the Bangladesh team can train and practice in a secure environment before the first Test match, set to take place on August 21 in Rawalpindi.
According to sources, the PCB has highlighted the stable law and order situation in Pakistan, assuring the BCB that their team will have the freedom to train and practice without any security concerns. Despite the PCB’s reassurances and proactive approach, the BCB has yet to respond to the offer.
The first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is a significant fixture in the cricket calendar, and the PCB is keen to provide the best possible preparation environment for the visiting team.
By offering early arrival and training opportunities, the PCB hopes to facilitate a smooth and safe series.
