Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday resolved to train the country's youth in the IT sector through Chinese cooperation.
Expressing his thoughts, Iqbal recounted the contributions made by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) government, asserting, "The PML-N led governments have distributed 1 million laptops among the students."
"1 million youngsters will get the education IT sector every year," Iqbal said.
He made it clear that the incumbent government was creating the opportunity to provide digital education.
Ahsan Iqbal calls for increasing digital literacy
Few days back, Iqbal stressed on Friday the need for increasing the digital literacy in the country.
Expressing his thoughts in Islamabad, Iqbal said: "There is a dire need to provide the facility of internet at the schools and knowledge in line with the information technology." The federal minister pointed out the significance of education for a prosperous future.
Iqbal stressed the need for increasing the literacy, saying, "We will have to boost the literacy by up to 90 percent in a bid to steer the country towards prosperity."
Iqbal announced the release of the district education index report today. The schools from 124 districts of the country have scored 53 percent."
"The prime minister has established the task force in connection with the educational emergency," he added.
