Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan hailed Pakistan's victory in the 1965 war, calling it a "war of integrity and survival" for the nation.
Despite facing an enemy four times larger, Pakistan's armed forces successfully defended the country, crushing the ambitions of its adversary.
"The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) met the expectations of the nation during the war," the Air Marshal remarked. He emphasized the key role played by the PAF in thwarting the Indian army's attempt to capture Lahore, as the enemy's advances were halted at every step.
The Air Marshal also praised the Pakistan Army, particularly the valor of its soldiers, famously known as the "Shahbaz."
He noted that these brave men ensured that the enemy did not gain even an inch of ground, defending Pakistan's sovereignty with unwavering resolve.
The commemoration of the 1965 war honors the resilience and unity that have been the cornerstone of Pakistan's defense strategy.
