The Punjab government was looking to control the smog across the province.
According to details, it was decided to run 23 e-buses in Lahore within three months. The provincial government had decided to tighten the noose around those who are involved in burning the crop residues.
Meanwhile, the vehicles emitting smoke will not be allowed to travel on the road. The brick kilns will be shifted to zigzag technology.
Expressing her thoughts, Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said: "Smog is playing with the lives of our children."
She emphasised the need for embracing collective responsibility, saying, "It is mandatory for everybody to play a vital role in controlling smog."

Separately, last month, the Punjab government decided on Sunday to establish the Parks and Horticulture Authorities (PHA) in every district.
According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting in line with administrative matters. On this occasion, CM Maryam urged the authorities to focus more on the beautification of the cities across the province.
She stressed the need for planting more trees and ensuring the functioning of the street lights across the province.
The Punjab chief minister had urged the need to ensure the cleanliness of every nook and cranny in both rural and urban areas.
“The masses should witness the major difference in terms of cleanliness and other matters,” she said.
The Rahim Yar Khan deputy commissioner had apprised CM Maryam of the artificial intelligence (AI) software for reviewing the implementation of the "KPI.”
