Awam Pakistan Party (AAP) convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Wednesday that the incumbent government was looking to go for the constitutional reforms.
The former prime minister voiced his opinion, stating: "The government appears to be terrified, despite the necessity for a new law. Is closing the routes after granting permission to stage public gathering reflected democracy."
"There already exist many laws to stop the rally. The constitution allows the masses to stage the public gathering. The entire Islamabad had been closed for the sake of masses," the former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said.
Giving his take over the statement given by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Abbasi said: "The KP CM had used inappropriate language during the public gathering."
