Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Barrister Ali Zafar said on Thursday that the apology was "not good enough" for his party leaders' arrest.
Expressing his thoughts during the Senate session, Zafar said: "The premier or interior minister will have to tender the resignation. If you will not do this, then it will be up to your conscience."
"The arrest of the lawmakers from the Parliament House is condemnable," said Zafar.
– 'Political Objectives' –
Few days back, PTI senior leader Ali Muhammad Khan stated that the incumbent government was looking to achieve its “political objectives.”.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV program, Khan said: “The government is looking to join hands with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, as right now the latter is having the importance.”.
He recalled his party’s past differences with Rehman and said: “We were against the politics that Fazlur Rehman had staged along with Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif in the past. This is for the first time that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has joined us [PTI].”
“Fazlur Rehman will realize soon that he is taking the right stance of standing with us. We stick to our principle stance,” he said.
“Talks can be held in politics with even your big opponents,” Khan said.
He said: “The PTI founder had assigned Mahmood Achakzai the task of negotiation. But it was Mahmood Achakzai, who had requested playing the role in negotiations through Asad Qaiser.”
