Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif resolved on Thursday to increase the confidence of the investors in connection with the economy of the country.
Expressing his thoughts during the federal cabinet meeting, the premier said: "The talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are moving forward in the right direction. It is time to become independent as a nation by getting rid of all the loans."
He expressed his gratitude to the friendly countries for extending their cooperation. "The friendly-countries have once again rose to the occasion in terms of extending their support."
PM Shehbaz had welcomed the cut in key policy rate by 200 bps to 17.5 pc by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
"I pray that the interest rate will fall to a single digit like inflation.".

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday made it clear that the country will not compromise on sovereignty.
Addressing an event in connection with Defence and Martyrs Day at GHQ in Rawalpindi. The premier underscored the importance of upholding peace. “The nations lead to prosperity by embracing peace. Pakistan wants peaceful relations with its neighbours as to maintain peace is our topmost priority.”
“Pakistan has always played a positive role to uphold stability in the region. The country has played a significant role in a bid to end the menace of terrorism,” he said.
PM Shehbaz said: “The borders of Pakistan are the symbol of peace themselves.
