Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday bashed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying the double game is being played through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Expressing his thoughts during the Senate session, Asif took a swipe at the embattled party, stating, “The PTI founder is engulfing fire in KP. Whatever has been said during the public gathering reflects the saying of the separatists.”
“It [the PTI] should keep the parliament as the political parliament. The PTI founder has merely apologized to the media over the statement of Ali Amin Gandapur,” he said.
Asif maintained: “There is no chance of return from the path which the PTI is following.”
"You never know that the PTI will run the campaign of separation in KP," he said.
Asif maintained: "The PTI wants to hold talks at the General Headquarters (GHQ).”
– Do not cross red-line –
Few days back, Asif asked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to stage the protests but do not cross the red-line.
Expressing his thoughts, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said: "The arrival of the police in the parliament is shameful. But there is also a need to condemn those speeches delivered along with the masked people during the public gathering."
He lashed out at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, saying, "KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur has challenged the writ of the state and warned of attacking the state with the group of people, which is all about derailing the democracy."
