The senate representation on Sunday further increased in the special parliamentary committee.
According to details, after nominating five senators, Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had given the names of more than eight senators. The parliamentary leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other parties were nominated.
The Senate secretariat had issued a fresh notification in line with the nomination of the senators for the parliamentary committee.
PML-N parliamentary leader Irfan Siddiqui nominated the member of the special parliamentary committee.
PPP appointed Sherry Rehman, the member of the special parliamentary committee.
Awami National Party (ANP) President Aimal Wali Khan was nominated as the member of the parliamentary committee instead of Umer Farooq.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Attaur Rehman and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Senator Manzoor Ahmed were also part of the committee.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Faisal Sabzwari and Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) Muhammad Qasim.
Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Raja Nasir Abbasi was also part of the special committee.
