Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Sunday that his party was still looking for "breakthrough" in line with putting the government to the test pertaining to the constitutional amendment.
Expressing his thoughts, Khan said: “There is nothing in the politics that is decisive. We are hopeful that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will stand by our side.”.
“We will continue to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman,” said Khan.
– Govt wants to ‘contain’ judiciary: Barrister Ali Zafar –
Separately, PTI Senator Barrister Ali Zafar said on Sunday that the incumbent government wanted to “contain” the judiciary.
Expressing his thoughts, Zafar said: “We [PTI] will fight our war inside and outside of the parliament. Bringing the constitutional amendment into the darkness will be the attack on the democracy.”
“The Supreme Court emphasised that the vote of the PTI lawmakers will not be considered. The PTI lawmakers will not go to cast their votes in the Senate,” Zafar maintained.
