Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Tuesday that the country’s parliament was “not running in the right direction.”.
Expressing his thoughts, the former foreign minister said: “There is a need for the two-thirds majority for the legislation. I have a new idea about some of the draft’s points that were aired in the media.”
“The civil and criminal cases have been delayed for years. Our party has to wait for 50 years to get justice in the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case.”
– Supremacy of constitution –
Few days back, Bhutto-Zardari stressed the need for upholding the supremacy of the constitution.
Expressing his thoughts, the former foreign minister said: "How will the country move ahead if the government looks to stage a fight?" There is a need to first think about mobilizing the parliament to steer the country towards prosperity."
"The PTI can fight the case of its leader but needs to take up the responsibility in the parliament," he said.
Bhutto-Zardari said: "If the chief minister will look to target the judge through vendetta and hurl foul languages, then the problems will not be addressed."
