Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar and leaders from the allied parties will clear the air over the 26th constitutional amendment on Wednesday (September 18).
According to details, Tarar will shed light on the facts pertaining to the constitutional amendment during the key press conference. The minister will look to remove any doubts in connection with the "constitutional package.".

Separately, former president Arif Alvi extolled the role of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s “role” over the constitutional amendment.
Sources divulged that during his meeting with Rehman in Islamabad, Alvi expressed his gratitude to the JUI-F supremo for not extending support to the constitutional amendment. “You have played a positive and historical role in connection with the constitutional amendment,” he said.
The JUI-F, PTI had agreed to form the joint strategy pertaining to the constitutional amendment. Both parties had agreed to play an “effective” role in opposition on the national issues.
Sources privy to the development said that Rehman stressed the need for embracing the masses’ “collective thinking” in connection with the “constitutional package”.
“There should be consensus on the constitutional amendment, no matter how much time it will take,” Rehman said.
