Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Marri said on Thursday assailed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub.
Expressing her thoughts, Marri said : “Gen Ayub Khan’s grandson should avoid teaching democracy and its values. Everybody is aware about the sacrifices rendered by the PPP for the sake of uplifting the democratic values in the country.
“Those who are dreaming about the martial law in the country are themselves afraid", said Ayub.
He stated : “Those who like to embrace dictatorship are depressed due to the political dialogues."

Speaking about the constitutional reforms, Marri said : “Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is working on the constitutional reforms in line with the party’s manifesto.”
“How long will it take for common person to get justice can be estimated from the fact that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari got justice in Zulfikar Ali Bhutto case after 50 years.”
“Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari wants implementation of the charter of democracy for judicial reforms. Even in the past, the PPP has taken all the stakeholders on board for amendment without a two-thirds majority", she added.
Reiterating the need for political cohesion, Marri said : “The country cannot bear the culture of hatred and division."
“It would be better to reach consensus on the constitutional amendment, said Marri.
Marri said : “No matter how many drafts exist in numbers, the political parties should remain on one page.”
