Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari lambasted on Saturday the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ahead of its public gathering.
Expressing her thoughts, Bokhari said: "Today, the political entity of the PTI ends in Lahore. The situation of the public gathering for the PTI is not too strong. Only 1500 to 1600 people from Lahore reached the rally's venue."
“Similar to the cities like Sargodha, the turnaround is not so much. The people in the public gathering are even less than 3000 in numbers,” she said.
Bokhari maintained: “We would like to express our gratitude to the Punjab masses for rejecting the unrest brought by the PTI.”
Taking a dig at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Bokhari said: “Look at Gandapur, who is coming to Lahore by utilizing all the public resources.”
“It is my prayer that the higher Power show mercy on those making their way to the public gathering in Lahore from KP,” she said.
– PTI leaders look to spread unrest in 'leaked' audio calls –
Earlier on Friday, Bokhari said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders were planning to spread unrest in the country in the "leaked" audio calls that surfaced.
Expressing her thoughts, Bokhari took a dig at the PTI, saying, “Nobody will be allowed to spread unrest in the country under the guise of politics. Everybody is familiar with the PTI’s track record in the past.”
“What happened in Islamabad’s public gathering is in front of everybody,” she said.
“These people want to spread terrorism in the name of the rally,” Bokhari stated.
