Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed on Tuesday his resolve to expand with the Maldives.
According to details, the premier held a meeting with Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu on the sidelines of his visit to the United States. Both the leaders expressed determination to further expand the bilateral ties between the two countries.
PM Shehbaz expressed optimism to increase cooperation with the Maldives in the fields of trade, tourism, investment, and environmental changes.
Both PM Shehbaz and President Muizzu agreed to continue making efforts to increase public communication, bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The leaders agreed to make joint efforts for the sake of peace, prosperity, and stability in the region.

Earlier on Sunday, the premier said it is the time for making efforts to steer the country to economic prosperity.
Expressing his thoughts, the premier said: "The masses prefer improvement in economic policies. The masses had denounced the politics revolving around anarchy. There is a dire need to take country out of the doldrums instead of focusing on staging the jam-packed public gatherings."
"We will stage the public gatherings in 2028. Right now there is a time to fulfill the promises made by the masses," he added.

"The economic revival hinges on political stability," the premier said.
"The masses want to see the reduction in inflation, their problems getting addressed, and economic uplift," he maintained.
