The Met Department has forecast hot and humid conditions for much of the country, with variations in different regions.
In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, the weather will remain hot and humid during the day, with a possibility of partly cloudy skies by evening, according to a department spokesperson.
Punjab will experience similar conditions, with most districts remaining hot and humid. However, the Met Office predicts a chance of rain accompanied by thunder-showers during the night in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Murree, and Galiyat.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will largely see dry weather, although plain districts will remain hot and humid. Rain, strong winds, and thunder-showers are expected at a few locations, including Mansehra, Abbottabad, Dir, and Swat during the night.
Most districts in Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain hot and dry.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, dry and partly cloudy weather is anticipated. Meanwhile, Kashmir is forecast to experience partly cloudy skies with a chance of rain, strong winds, and thundershowers at some locations in the evening and during the night.
The meteorological department advises citizens to prepare accordingly for the varying weather conditions across the country.
Punjab weather update
Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas told Samaa TV that September is generally hot after various spells of monsoon rains, adding that an increase in humidity in the air is causing the warm conditions. He further predicted rain to fall in some parts over the next two days.
"A system of rainfall is entering Pakistan from Friday. After the rains, there will be a significant drop in temperature," the chief meteorologist said. He added that the temperature is likely to drop by six degrees in the coming days, while there will be a considerable drop at night.
