The citizens staged protest in Peshawar due to 20-hour power outage.
According to details, the people poured onto the streets in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The protestors were of the view that people were facing hardships to 20-hour power loadshedding.
“The protest will continue until all the demands are fulfilled,” said the citizens.
The protestors had chanted the slogans against the provincial government and WAPDA.
– Inflation bomb –
Meanwhile, in terms of inflation, the Peshawar district administration had dropped yet another inflation bomb on the masses as the city witnessed a record increase in the prices of milk and yogurt.
According to details, the price of milk, which was fixed at Rs180 per liter, has now reached Rs240 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of yogurt has reached Rs 220 per kg after witnessing an increase of Rs 30 per kg.
The price of yogurt of better quality has been fixed at Rs260 per kg after witnessing an increase of Rs70 per kg.
Due to the lack of implementation of the official rates of the food items, the shopkeepers themselves decide the rate of any item, which also raises question marks on the performance of the district administration.
